Buffalo Grove, IL, October 16, 2006 — 3D QuickTools Ltd., the leader in 3D die design automation and Strategic Technology Solutions, Inc. (STS) today announced the 2nd Annual 3DQuickPress International User Conference to take place on March 22-23, 2007 in Chicago, IL. This two-day interactive user conference will cover many educational topics focusing on 3DQuickPress and 3DQuickForm, SolidWorks add-ins for die design. This event is scheduled in conjunction with MetalForm2007, which starts one day after the conference on March 25-28, 2007 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center Rosemont, IL.
The agenda features a training focus for users to learn and share ideas on how to automate their die design process. The presentations will be strictly technical and users will also learn SolidWorks best practices and techniques. Users can submit topics upon signing up for the event to ensure that their specific needs are addressed at the event (see early-bird registration). These requests will be shared with the group to enhance the experience for all users. Current topics include: complex 2D/3D blank and inverse station development, advanced surfacing techniques for forming, developing customized 3D Templates with tables, automated detailing and drawing techniques, best practices for performance and change, family tooling, multiple strips, stage/transfer tooling methods, project automation and PDM integration, CAM preparation, and reporting.
