Mission: STS is the leading North American Distributor of technology that leverages 3D data throughout the product manufacturing lifecycle.
Started in 2004, as a wholly owned subsidiary of CATI, the company works with emerging technology development companies from throughout the world to bring their tools to the USA/CANADA client base. These offerings must meet a stringent requirement of innovation and exclusivity in the market place.
STS offers the traditional VAR channel a new avenue to offering software and services which can differentiate their core-technology solution, like SolidWorks, amongst their competitors. At the same time, the VAR does not have to invest in the technical sales, support, and training personnel to fulfill the process of implementation. STS assists the VAR with Marketing, Sales, and Technical Services pro-actively with a unique revenue sharing model. There are three levels of VAR per product, Gold, Silver, and Referral.
STS offers unique proactive marketing support with the MA-Squad and the MD-Squad. The MA squad is hunting for new suspects to join a specific STS/VAR activity via the phone. The most common activity that is independent of any VAR, is a called a Webinar. The Webinar is a Live product presentation, usually 60-minutes that will give a suspect a good overview of the product.
Once a suspect attends the webinar, the MD-Squad takes over these suspects and develops them into Prospects (Farming). The account can now be delivered to a Local VAR as a sales lead. The MD and local VAR jointly work this lead into the sales funnel for a sale.
Internet technology (WEBEX) is the primary mechanism to address all pre- and post- sales and support issues, including training. However, our technical and sales team will travel on-site for qualified opportunities and VAR supported marketing activities.
After the sale, the VAR will deliver the solution but STS is a key part of the support team taking all technical support calls and training requests for STS specific products for Silver and Referral Vars. Gold VARs do all services themselves since the margins are full traditional percentages.
STS is led by Robert A. Konczal, a co-founder of Computer Aided Technolgy, Inc. Bob K. or BK has been in the industry since 1987 and has pioneered several 3D products to market such as SolidWorks in early '95. The "Treat the customer as you want to be treated" mentality that Bob has held onto during his success has kept his passion for extremely high-level customer service even before technology benefits.
